Buick 3 Adam Buick, Small Jars.

I have been looking at a number of artists during the research stage of my current Journey project and thought I would share with you two of the artists whose work I love and from whom I am drawing a great deal of inspiration at the moment.  The first is Adam Buick  whose work is itself inspired by the landscape but also by Korean Moon Jars which are his signature piece.  I first encountered him at Ceramic Art London in 2013 where he was showing a film called Earth to Earth which I found very exciting.  Since then I have searched out his work wherever I go and it never ceases to thrill me.  I love the way that he reflects and also makes use of the landscape within his pots and I find the multiple similar shapes intriguing.

When God is Silent ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

~ CHRISTian poetry by deborahann ~Listening by Julio Pirieda free photo #5712

Is it God, who is silent,
or am I,  just not hearing . . .
the tiny whispered breath
of the Holy Spirit stirring?

Is it God, who is distant,
or am I,  the one far away . . .
is it why His  influence
cannot rest on me today?

Is it God, who is quiet,
or am I, just too active . . .
to let the Holy Spirit
take every thought captive?

Is it God, who is still,
or am I, not taking note . . .
is it why His small voice
seems so far and remote?

Is it God, who is silent,
or am I,  just too into me
is that why dear Father . . .
You don’t hear my plea?

Psalm 22:3

O my God, I cry in the day time,
but thou hearest not; and in the night season,
and am not silent.”
