Different types of Play dough you can make at home

shutterstock_94075969Play dough of any kind is fun! especially for children.  You can make several types of play dough right at home with your children.  They are not only fun but a great way to spend some quality time with your little ones.  Another great benefit to making your own play dough is that you know and can pronounce every ingredient that goes into it.  So you don’t have to worry about toxins in your clay.  Here is a list of clay recipes you can try at home. 

Colored play dough

Kool-aid play dough

Salt play dough

Basic uncooked play dough

oatmeal play dough

peanut butter play dough (now that one sounds pretty interesting 🙂

Everyone seems to have a favorite play dough recipe, and many old favorites have been included here. Some require cooking and some don’t; some are meant to be eaten and some are not. Choose the recipe that best suits your needs and the ingredients you have on hand. Store playdough in a covered container or Ziploc bag. If it sweats a little, just add more flour. For sensory variety, use playdough warm or cool as well as at room temperature
